When it comes to makeup, one might say I am weird. I do not wear any. I don’t like the feel of it on my face. It makes me feel like I am covering my skin and my identity. Quite frankly, I really do not want to invest time, energy and resources into make-up. I am a simple type of girl. I like to keep things relatively easy and fast.
Don’t take me wrong, I don’t have anything against make-up or whoever decides to wear it. I actually enjoy watching tons of videos on Youtube on makeup applications and the pretty “new” colours. I find myself going inside the MAC store once in a while just to look at what is new or try out a new shade of lipsticks. However, it is just MY personal preference and choice to not wear any. I have given makeup a try: bought powder/foundation/lipsticks, but could never get into it. Although my skin is far from perfect, I would rather deal with my imperfections instead of covering them. I feel like they make me who I am, in a sense. Plus I would rather sleep an extra 10 minutes in the morning instead of doing my makeup! lol
What do you think of makeup? Am I the only one who is just simply not into it? Leave a comment!
Most naturals have to deal with shrinkage and most of us hate it. I have learned over the years to stop fighting my hair and embrace what it does. I, as many of you might know from my youtube channel, have kinky/coily hair and my shrinkage is just phenomenal. It never cease to amaze me how much my hair shrinks. For the longest time, I was convinced that my hair had stopped growing just to realize that the longer my hair gets, the more intense my shrinkage is.
Do you guys see this succulent, mouth-watering , delicious salad dressing? Now, I am not big on eating healthy but this right here will make me eat salad everyday. Actually forget salad, this is an all -in-one dipping sauce. It is so tasty that I eat it with finger food, potatoes, sausages, fries, tilapia etc. Hell, I could even drink that stuff (:. You guys really have to try it if you haven’t already. As you can see from the picture, the bottle is nearly empty. It is obviously time to stock up!
Let me introduce you to my one & only, my ride or die, my fatty. His name is Mr. Mimi (with the “mister”) and he is 2 and a half years old. That’s about 20 human years! I never thought I was a “cat person” until I got him for my birthday 2 years ago. We’ve been best friend ever since!
I'm Jennifer, a 23-yr old girl from Haiti. I've lived in Miami for quite some time and now I am in Ottawa, Canada.
This blog is where I share my experiences and interests. Oh, did I mention I have an unhealthy obsession with my Natural hair?
